REACH UP

We want everyone who experiences our fellowship to experience God in a way that leads them into a closer connection with Him. We believe that our relationship to God is life-giving. Therefore, we reach up to Him in worship because He is worthy of all glory and honor and praise.

REACH IN

Following Jesus results in radical life transformation. Jesus, as the perfect example of the amazing love of God, meets every person where and how they are but never leaves anyone the same. We are always growing and being transformed as we continue to experience God.

REACH OUT

We are called by Christ to change the world with the Gospel – reaching out to all people with the news that what He is doing for us He wants to do for everyone. He has called us to bring the hope of the Kingdom of God to a hurting world both with our material resources and our lives. We reach out and as we go, He goes with us.

The Core 4 (Our Beliefs)

CORE VALUE #1:

Jesus is at the center. At the core of who we are is Jesus. He is the perfect image of the invisible God. Jesus is the center of everything we say and do at WFCOG. He is why we exist. All our other values are an extension of this.

CORE VALUE #2:

All people matter. We value and love people – all people. People are valued simply because God loves them and created them in His image. When God saw the people He created, he said they were very good, full of inherent value and worth. When Jesus came to Earth, He came to rescue them – restoring them to God and showing them their value and His love for them. As the body of Christ, we seek to continue to show people their innate value and God’s love for them.

Our Beliefs

CORE VALUE #3:

Experiencing God's love changes lives. God is love and made us in His image. However, we have been separated from God through sin, distorting His image in us. Out of His love for us, God sent His Son Jesus to reconcile us to Himself. When we experience His love, we are transformed and His image in us begins to be restored. We love because He first loved us.

CORE VALUE #4:

Jesus followers are made to be in authentic, intentional relationships to build the kingdom of God and change the community. We believe God is relational. We see this displayed through the relationship God has with Himself in the Trinity – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Since we are made in the image of God, He designed us to be relational - in relationship with both Him and with one another. We reach out in authentic, intentional relationships to share the love of Christ and the transform our community.
